Messancy dates back a very long time. The name is first referenced in an official document in 1096. Today the municipality is known for its countryside and its shopping. Get away from it all as you stroll around the lake or the water lily pond. Mathelin Park is the perfect place for family fun and if you feel like shopping, you will be delighted with the two shopping centres. There’s something for everyone.

Aubange

Marked by fire and iron

Set at the heart of the Land of the Three Borders between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and France, the municipality of Aubange forms a link between Gaume and the Land of Arlon. You can admire the remains of a rich industrial past and discover its history at the Athus and Steel Museum. The municipality is made up of seven districts, each of which has a charm of its own, such as Rachecourt, famous for its apple festival.

Arlon

2,000 years of history

Arlon is one of the three oldest cities in Belgium. In Roman Times it was known as Orolaunum and was ideally located at the crossroads of two major roads. Two thousand years of history have left Arlon a prestigious Gallo-Roman, historical, religious and architectural heritage along with numerous folkloric and cultural festivals and events. Nature lovers and thrill seekers will find walks and activities galore.
